The detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine exposed the Prosecutor of Department for Supervision of Compliance with Laws in Criminal Procedure and Coordination of Law Enforcement Activities of the Prosecutor General’s office on the bribe of $15 thousand. The press office of NABU reports.

It is established that the member of the Prosecutor General’s office demanded $20 thousand for the conclusion of the agreement on pleading guilty with two individuals suspected of having committed offense provided under Part 2 of Art. 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The Prosecutor threatened two suspects with deprivation of liberty from 11 to 12 years if they refuse to pay.

The Prosecutor should have received the first tranche of $ 15 thousand as a down payment, and the rest $5 thousand before sending to the court the agreement on pleading guilty, which was concluded by him, as a prosecutor in criminal proceeding and suspects.

The detectives of NABU revealed the first part of the tranche of $15 thousand during searches.

Earlier, the Head of the Department of Tax and Fees was detained for a bribe in the amount of $20 thousand from the individuals of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine. Later, the Prosecutor General’s office and Security Service of Ukraine arrested Aleksey Tamrazov, ex-deputy of the Chairman of the Executive Board of Ukrgazvydobuvannya. He was trying to give a $200 thousand bribe to a prosecutor.
