There are still concerns that Britain may leave the European Union without an agreement. This was announced on Saturday by the head of the executive branch of the European bloc, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker, in an interview with the FUNKE Mediengruppe, reports Reuters.

“No one knows how Brexit will end. This creates a lot of uncertainty. There is still a fear that there will be a tough Brexit, without any contractual mechanisms for Britain’s withdrawal from the EU,” Juncker said.

He noted that despite the lack of clarity as to when, how, or even whether Brexit will occur, the UK should use the time until October 31 wisely.

He also focused on the fact that the EU cannot endlessly postpone the withdrawal of Britain from the EU.

“We cannot continue to postpone the withdrawal date indefinitely. The best solution for the British would be to accept the Agreement on withdrawal within the additional time that was agreed,” Juncker said.

Earlier, EU leaders decided to give Britain another six months to leave the EU.

The agreement on the withdrawal of Britain from the EU, agreed by Prime Minister Theresa May, was rejected three times by the British Parliament.

Earlier it was reported that on April 10, 27 EU countries and the United Kingdom agreed on a flexible reprieve until October 31.

However, the British assumed that Brexit would be delayed for a shorter time. In particular, on 9 April, the British Parliament voted in favor of Prime Minister Theresa May’s plan to postpone Brexit until 30 June.
