Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine completed the pretrial investigation into the case of Eduard Stavytsky, the former minister of Energy and Coal Production. According to the authority’s press service, the official is now obliged to arrive for looking into the criminal case file, a common procedure to be observed. The office expects Stavytsky to appear on January 18.
Currently, the ex-minister of Energy and Coal Production is fleeing from justice in Israel; he holds an Israeli passport, which identifies him as Nathan Rosenberg.
Stavytsky, who used to serve during Viktor Yanukovych's regime is now wanted in Ukraine; the Prosecutor General’s Office charges him with illicit enrichment, embezzlement of state property and power abuse. Law enforcers searched his places of residence found 4.8 million U.S. dollars and 42 kilograms of gold.
