Ukraine's Healthcare Ministry considers an opportunity to inoculate the top statesman in the first place. The list may include President Volodymyr Zelensky, Prime Minister Denys Shmygal, and Healthcare Minister Maksym Stepanov. The idea is to promote the vaccination campaign among fellow Ukrainians. Maksym Stepanov himself said so in an interview with 1+1 TV channel.
"We'll have to submit changes to the vaccination plan, so that Zelensky, Prime Minister, and I could get vaccinated; for now, it doesn't foresee the vaccination of workers of government institutions. I believe we will make such changes to increase public trust for vaccination", the Minister said.

Stepanov also expressed hope that after the start of the campaign, the trust for this procedure among Ukrainians will grow. "We want the share of inoculated Ukrainians to make at least 60 percent", he said.

If the idea is approved, Ukraine will join the list of countries where famous people - politicians, bloggers, celebrities - are vaccinated against coronavirus earlier than common citizens do.
