Today, December 12, Lithuanian president Dalia Gribauskaite will visit Kyiv. The politician, who is widely known for her long-standing support of Ukraine on the country’s way to the European integration, is going to stay in the Ukrainian capital for a day.
According to the Lithuanian embassy, Gribauskaite will meet Ukraine’s vice prime minister for EU integration Ivanna Klympush-Tsyntsadze and officials of the Kyiv city state administration. She’ll also participate in the opening ceremony of the ‘Lithuanian square’ in the downtown Kyiv.
Back in November, the Lithuanian side confirmed that the preparations for Gribauskaite’s visit to Ukraine were underway. The previous visit of the Lithuanian president took place in March 2015.
