President-elect of Lithuania Gitanas Nauseda stated that he will continue the policy of Dalia Grybauskaite toward Russia and Ukraine as Interfax-Ukraine reported.

“President-elect Gitanas Nauseda stated that toward Russia, he will continue the course of the country established by his predecessor Dalia Grybauskaite, while any change will mean that “Lithuania betrays its partners in Ukraine,” the message said.

President-elect of Lithuania also spoke about the improvement of the dialogue with neighboring Belarus.

Earlier we reported that ex-Head of the Central Bank of Lithuania Gitanas Nauseda has won the presidential elections in Lithuania, while his opponent MP Ingrida Simonyte occupied the second place.

Besides, Ukraine and Lithuania signed the road map of the strategic partnership between the countries for 2019-2020.

Earlier the Finance Ministries of Lithuania and Ukraine agreed on the creation of the Coordination Committee for the implementation of the reform of the Ukrainian State Fiscal Service and creation of the Financial Investigations Service.
