The concentration of Russian forces on the Ukrainian border may be connected with the future meeting of leaders of the Russian Federation and the United States. Oleksiy Reznikov, the Defense Minister of Ukraine said so as cited by DW.

"Today's events (next to the Ukrainian border, - 112 International) are related to the future meeting of U.S. President Joe Biden and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. The latter, thus, is trying to reinforce his position in the negotiations", Reznikov said.
