Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal said that the underground connection could not be resumed until May 22. This was reported by the press service of the President's Office.
Today, at a meeting with the President, the issue of resuming public transport, in particular - the subway, was raised. Shmygal noted that the subway would not be launched until May 22, because the early launch of public transport might cause to spread the coronavirus epidemic the situation with which had not been stabilized.
"The planned moderate approach to quarantine is the right thing to do. Despite the tiredness, the epidemic should not be taken lightly. Today, the number of infected is over half a thousand. Transport is a direct way to get this danger spread," Zelensky said.
As we reported earlier, Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers extended the lockdown in Ukraine until May 22.
Nevertheless, some restrictions will be lifted off starting from May 11: the opening of parks, squares, recreation areas, beauty salons, summer venues of food establishments, libraries and museums should be expected.
