A Kyrgyzstan citizen, who has been in contact with prankers that organized a telephone conversation ostensibly on behalf of President Almazbek Atambaev with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, has been arrested. This is stated in the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, posted on the site office.

"The law enforcement agencies of the republic detained a citizen of Kyrgyzstan, which has been in contact with prankers that organized the telephone conversation. Currently, the detainee is taken into custody to ascertain all the circumstances of the case", reads the statement.

It is emphasized that previously Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine have agreed to conduct a joint investigation of the situation, the results of which will be discussed during the bilateral meeting scheduled in the margins of the OSCE Ministerial Council meeting in Hamburg in early December.

"Only at the end of this meeting it will be possible to determine the degree of fault of the staff members from both sides, unwittingly involved in the incident", noted in the department.

Russian pranker Vladimir Kuznetsov, known by the nickname Vovan, claims that he trotted the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, calling him on November 2 on behalf of the President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev. During the conversation, which lasted about 15 minutes, Poroshenko asked Atambayev for supporting Ukraine during the UN vote on human rights in Crimea on November 15, as well as to express a common position on the situation in the Donbas region, in particular, to help to get the transmission of the joint border area under control of Kyiv.
