Taliban fighters will not storm Kabul. The Afghan government agreed to transfer power peacefully. This was reported by the RIA-Novosti agency with reference to the country's Interior Ministry.

At the same time, the media reported that shots were heard on the outskirts of Kabul. According to Reuters, the Taliban are entering the city from all sides.

As we reported earlier, Taliban fighters entered the Afghanistan capital Kabul on Sunday.

The Taliban said it has no plans to take the Afghan capital “by force”. The armed group issued the statement as their fighters entered the outskirts of Kabul.

“The Islamic Emirate instructs all its forces to stand at the gates of Kabul, not to try to enter the city,” a spokesman for the Taliban tweeted, although some residents reported fighters peacefully entered some outer suburbs.

In addition, Reuters reports that the United States has already begun evacuating its diplomats and has sent additional troops to secure the airport in Kabul.
