President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko urged the Finnish authorities to increase pressure on Russia in the issue of release of the hostages. The Head of State said this during a joint briefing with President of Finland Sauli Niinistö, broadcast by 112 Ukraine TV Channel.

"We discussed the grave violation of human rights in the Donbas and in the Crimea and I appealed to the President with a request to increase the pressure on the Russian side in matters of Ukrainian liberation of the hostages, both in the occupied territories, and from the Russian prisons", he said.


"President Poroshenko urged Finland to increase influence on Russia to release Ukrainian hostages", reads the message.
