Petro Poroshenko, the President of Ukraine confirmed that he held the phone talk with Vladimir Putting, the President of Russia and discussed the prisoners' exchange and the deployment of the UN peacekeeping mission in Donbas with him as Ukrinform reported.
'The aim (of the talk) was made of two parts. The first is the issue that was announced three years ago during the signing of the Minsk-2 in 2015. We need the peacekeepers as air', Poroshenko said.
Also, they discussed the exchange of the prisoners.
'The second point is that we cannot stop on the way of the release of our hostages on no account. I discussed the particular details such as the lists, particular names of people whom we should return from the occupied territories and whom we should return from Russia', Poroshenko emphasized.
He assured that they do everything possible to return the Ukrainian military illegally detained in the occupied territories, Roman Sushchenko, the Ukrainian journalist, Oleh Sentsov, the Ukrainian movie-maker, Oleksandr Kolchenko, the activist and Crimean Tatars from Russia.
