President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, within the framework of his visit to the United States of America with the aim of participating in the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly, intends to raise the issue of the release of Ukrainian hostages and political prisoners. The head of state stated this on his Facebook page.
"The issue of the release of Ukrainian hostages and political prisoners will be one of the key issues during my visit to the United States at the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly," the head of state wrote.
Earlier we reported that Advisor to the U.S. President Herbert McMaster confirmed that Donald Trump would meet President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko during the UNGA, as he said in a press briefing published on Youtube.
“On Thursday, the President will meet with the leaders of Turkey, Afghanistan, and Ukraine. The latter two countries in particular have suffered direct and persistent attacks on their sovereignty in recent years.
As it was reported earlier, Ukrainian media said Petro Poroshenko would meet Donald Trump on September 21.
