The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko stated that he would talk about his vision of the UN development strategy at the coming speech at the UN General Assembly session. Poroshenko said it during debating club in Kyiv lycee, as Interfax-Ukraine reports.
“As the President of Ukraine I am going to the session of the UN General Assembly in three weeks and I will represent Ukraine, analysis of the current situation, development strategy and the vision of changing of the UN role, function and place in my speech,” Poroshenko noted.
Volodymyr Yelchenko, the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to UN claimed that Petro Poroshenko would deliver a speech at the UN General Assembly meeting on September 26. He supposed that Ukraine’s President would also talk about Holodomor.
The 73rd UN General Assembly will open on September 18.
According to the speaking program published in the headquarters of the World organization, the plenary meeting of the high level is to be held on September 24. It will be dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of one of the most famous fighters for human rights Nelson Mandela.
The speeches of the leaders of the countries and heads of the delegation will begin on September 25 and will last until October 1.
Earlier we reported that Poroshenko planed to visit New York in September and take part in the meeting of the UNGA.
