Petro Poroshenko, Ukraine’s President, signed a decree on withdrawal of all Ukraine’s representatives from all CIS charter bodies, as he stated in Vinnytsia delivering a speech at the event dedicated to Europe Day, broadcasted by 112 Ukraine.
“Today we did all possible to cross the Rubicon returning to the European Union. Today I signed a relevant decree on withdrawal of all Ukraine’s representatives from CIS charter bodies,” the Head of the State notes.
Besides, Poroshenko stressed that Ukraine’s future is in Europe.
Earlier, Poroshenko stated that Ukraine stops its activity in CIS coordination bodies.
In early May, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) supported the offer to stop the participation of Ukrainian delegation in CIS bodies.
NSDC entrusted Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry to take measures to terminate separate international agreements.
