The President Petro Poroshenko made 26 visits to 18 foreign states in 2017. This is stated in the response of the Presidential Administration to the request of Ukrainian news.
"Foreign visits of the President of Ukraine P. Poroshenko in 2017: state visits - 2, official visits - 7, working visits - 17," it says in the message.
The president and his wife made state visits on May 15-17 in Malta and on July 17-19 in Georgia.
The head of state made official visits to Estonia on January 23, January 23-24 to Finland, April 4 - to Latvia, April 5 - to Denmark, April 19 - to Great Britain, October 31 - November 1 - to Saudi Arabia, and 17-18 November - to Portugal.
Poroshenko visited France four times during the working trips abroad (in June, then on the commemoration of former German Chancellor Helmut Kohl in July, the European Union institutions in Strasbourg in May and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in October).
Last year the president was on three working visits to Germany (in January, May, February at the Munich Security Conference).
Twice in 2017, Poroshenko made working visits to the United States (in June and to the United Nations General Assembly in September) and Belgium (to European institutions in Brussels in June and to the Eastern Partnership summit in November).
He also visited Switzerland (the World Economic Forum in Davos in January), Malta (the European People's Party summit in March), Belarus (in April), Canada (in September), Saudi Arabia (in November) and Lithuania (in December).
