President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko will meet Aleksander Lukashenko, the President of the Republic of Belarus on October 26 at the First Forum of Regions of Ukraine and Belarus that will take place in Gomel as the press service of the Belarusian president reported.
On October 26, Lukashenko will participate in the plenary meeting at the Forum of Regions. It is expected that Poroshenko will also visit the event.
“Before the participation and speeches at the main platform of the forum, the leaders of the state will hold a meeting in the format “face-to-face”. The main emphasis in the negotiations will be made at the issues of the trade development, economic and investment cooperation of two countries through the prism of the capacity of the direct contact at the level of regions,” the message said.
The press service of Lukashenko noted that the signing of the number of the documents at all spectrum of the direction of the Ukrainian-Belarusian interaction is expected on the results of the forum.
Earlier Petro Poroshenko, the President of Ukraine and Aleksandr Lukashenko, the President of Belarus held the phone conversation and discussed the economic and cultural cooperation of the countries.
Also, Lukashenko claimed that Belarus accepted at least 160, 000 refugees from Ukraine during the Donbas Conflict. He also spoke on the settlement of the Donbas Conflict for many times, including his readiness to send the Belarusian peacekeepers to Donbas.
