The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko began the negotiation in Kyiv.

The official welcoming ceremony took place in front of the building of the Presidential Administration.

It is expected that the leaders will make the announcement for the mass media following the results of the negotiations.

Earlier, the press service of the Belarusian reported that Poroshenko and Lukashenko will discuss the development of the political, trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation between the countries. The main attention will be drawn to the current status and perspectives of the cooperation in economy, including such spheres as trade, investments, industrial cooperation, petrochemical complex, energy sector, agriculture, transport and logistics sphere and the development of the near-border cooperation. Also, the settlement of the Donbas Conflict will become one of the issues of the meeting as Minsk provides the conference venue for the Trilateral Contact Group on Ukraine since 2014.
