President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, at a meeting with his American counterpart Donald Trump, said he hoped for US support, including in the issue of the introduction of UN peacekeepers in Donbas.
Poroshenko thanked Trump for the meeting, noting the importance of US support in the "difficult time for Ukraine."
"We are grateful for the meeting, we expect that we will receive support from the US at such a difficult time for Ukraine, we hope for support regarding the peacekeeping mission and economic reforms," the head of state said.
We recall, President Petro Poroshenko on September 20 spoke at the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly.
Earlier President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed the preparations for the sixth session of the Strategic Council of the high level between Ukraine and Turkey that should take place in Kyiv.
Poroshenko met Erdogan within the 72nd session of the UNGA. It is noted that the President of Turkey confirmed the eternal support of the sovereignty, territorial integrity and internationally recognized borders of Ukraine by Turkey.
