President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko counts on demonstrating the unity of the G-7 countries in the issue of Ukraine's support at the summit in Italy in late May. He said this at a joint press conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
"It is very important that this meeting takes place on the eve of the G7 summit, and we very much hope that the Sicilian meeting will also demonstrate the unity of the civilized world in supporting Ukraine," he said.
Earlier Ukraine's president stated that Minsk process should be returned to the constructive course.
"We still need to act decisively to bring the Minsk process back to a constructive course, I want to stress once again that we do not see any alternative to Minsk agreements and insist on their full implementation," the president said.
