Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko stated that he guarantees free, fair, democratic elections of the president, parliament and local authorities, as the Head of the State stated during YES forum, broadcasted by 112 Ukraine.
“Ukraine’s future mostly depends on the election circle. As a President, I guarantee free, fir, democratic elections – the elections of the president, new parliament and local authorities. We will protect free will of the citizens,” Poroshenko stated.
According to him, Ukraine was creating a mechanism to counter outside interventions in the elections along with the other Western states.
“The best way to protect free world is to protect Ukraine. Moscow’s Crusades against democracy and freedom has become a hybrid war. We are making the mechanisms to counter outside interventions in the election process along with our Western partners,” Poroshenko stated.
It should be noted that presidential elections in Ukraine are scheduled on March 13, 2019. The elections to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will be held on October 27, 2019.
There were rumors about early elections (primarily, to the Parliament). Yet, it is not decided for now.
