Poroshenko, Duda discuss situation in Ukraine

The President of Ukraine asked the Polish side to support the reforming process in Ukraine

Andrzej Duda, the President of Poland, met with the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on the occasion of the UN Summit in New York, as Polskie Radio reports.

“The President Poroshenko informed about the current situation in Ukraine and asked him (Duda, - ed.) to support the reforming process in Ukraine and thanked Duda for the words he said during the meeting with Trump – about Nord Stream 2, about the necessity to restore Ukraine’s sovereignty within the borders,” Krzysztof Szczersk, the Head of the Presidential Cabinet, said.

Reportedly, The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko arrived o New York leading the official delegation to participate in the high-level general discussion of the 73rd UN General Assembly. 

Poroshenko will meet the leaders of the Ukrainian community in the U.S. and the leaders of Jewish organizations in the country.

It is possible that Petro Poroshenko will meet with the U.S. President Donald Trump in the lobbies of the General Assembly.

In particular, the Ukrainian leader will participate in the reception on the behalf of the U.S. President. Besides, he intends to be present at a high-level working dinner on the behalf of the UN Secretary-General.
