Poroshenko discuss more active attractive investment with World Bank President

Petro Poroshenko, the President of Ukraine held a meeting with Jim Yong Kim, the President of the World Bank in Washington. The press service of the President of Ukraine reported this.

‘The special focus was on the active attracting investment to the Ukrainian economy’, the message said.

The talk partners also hailed the acceptance of the strategic document of the cooperation for 2017-2021 that aims to support the reforms in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian leader thanked Jim Yong Kim for continuous support of Ukraine. From the beginning of 2014, the portfolio of the World Bank group in Ukraine increased in three times or 4.4 billion of dollars. The main increase took place due to the budget support projects in the amount of 2.25 billion of dollars. The new investment projects in the amount of 2.6 billion of dollars started as the press service noted.

Poroshenko informed about the reforms held in Ukraine and the first results of them. Also, he reported about the achievements of the macroeconomic stability and encouraging trend and increase of the economy.

Petro Poroshenko, the President of Ukraine is in the USA with the official visit. He held meetings with Donald Trump, the president of the USA, Mike Pence, the Vice-President of the USA, James Mattis, the United States Secretary of Defense, Rex Tillerson, the Unites States Secretary of States and Christine Lagarde, the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund.
