The fifth president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko denies that former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden has ever put pressure on him regarding the case, which involves Burisma Holdings, a gas company of which Biden’s son Hunter was a board member, Politico reports.
“My absolutely clear answer: no, never. But I also cannot accept that, neither President Obama nor President Biden — Vice President Biden, nor President Trump, nor Vice President Pence never press[ed] me,” Poroshenko stated.
As we reported earlier, on April 20, a former employee of the Ukrainian Embassy in the United States Andriy Telizhenko reported that former president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had received a gigantic sum of 200 million dollars for closing a case against Burisma.
Nevertheless, according to Ruslan Ryaboshapka, former Prosecutor General of Ukraine, no evidence of wrongdoing on the part of Hunter Biden was found.
“I specifically asked prosecutors to check especially carefully those facts about Biden’s alleged involvement. They answered that there was nothing of the kind,” he stated.
