The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko confirmed the readiness of Ukraine to supply electric energy to Belarus at the meeting with the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. Poroshenko claimed this at the briefing following the results of the meeting. It was broadcasted by 112 Ukraine.

‘The special attention was drawn to our cooperation in the energy sphere. We agreed on the certain steps in the cooperation in the electric energy sphere, petroleum and gas industry. In my opinion, it is extremely promising. Among other things I confirmed the readiness of Ukraine to supply electric energy to Belarus and agreed to consider the possibility of the extension of the energy resources supply, particularly, petroleum using the unique transit potential of Ukraine’, he said.
