President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko awarded 75 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for their personal courage shown in defending the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, selfless performance of military duty. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.

Among the awardees - 49 fighters who were wounded, 26 military were awarded posthumously. The majority of the noted soldiers were wounded in battles in autumn 2016 - winter 2017 in the area of Avdiivka, Svitlodarska arc, in the Mariupol direction.

Thus, 5 defenders of Ukraine were awaeded by the Orders of Bogdan Khmelnytsky of III degree, in particular, lieutenants Vasyl Baranovsky and Maksym Grynchishin - posthumously. 

According to the Decree also he Order of "Courage" of the III degree was given to 36 servicemen, 23 of them posthumously.

Another 34 defenders were awarded by medals "For Military Service for Ukraine" and "Defender of the Fatherland".
