Petro Poroshenko the President of Ukraine reminded that he would initiate EU to extend the sanctions against Russia by one year and not by half of the year as EU planned to do. He claimed this on May 15 during the airing of ICTV channel as Interfax-Ukraine reports.
‘I will raise a question to extend the sanctions not by 6 but by 12 months. We will do everything to motivate Russia to join the meeting table, fulfill the Minsk Agreement, withdraw troops from the Ukrainian territory and stop the aggression’, Poroshenko said.
Also, he added that Russia will try to influence Ukraine by the cyber war but it is going to be unsuccessful.
‘Recently we saw the cyber war when Russian cyber forces attempted to influence the vote results in the whole Europe and in the USA. We expect that they are going to do the same with Ukraine’, Poroshenko considers.
