President Petro Poroshenko signed bills on pension reform. This was stated by Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman on his Facebook page.
As you know, the main point is the law "On Amending Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Regarding Increasing Pensions", which introduces pension reform.
The Verkhovna Rada approved the pension reform on October 3. In favor of it voted 288 people's deputies. According to this document, about 9 million pensioners will receive an increased pension from October (at least to UAH 1,452). In addition, the reform provides a number of other changes in the pension system of Ukraine.
Some MPs tried to cancel this parliamentary decision. In particular, the non-factional deputy Yuriy Levchenko submitted a resolution to abolish voting for pension reform. However, on October 6, it did not gain the required number of votes.
Earlier Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman announced that President Petro Poroshenko will sign the law on pension reform until Monday, October 9.
