Although the intensity of attacks has declined, there is no regime of silence, on which we  agreed earlier, said the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko during a visit to Donetsk region, which was broadcast by "112 Ukraine" channel.

"Although the intensity militants fire decreased slightly, there is no silence, om which we have agreed in Minsk. And two weeks ago, as you know, the Russian-terrorist units tried to seize two of our strongholds in the Luhanske village in Svitlodarsk arc area. Ukrainian soldiers not only responded the enemy attack, but also launched a counterattack. Inflicting heavy casualties the occupiers, our defenders won by improving the disposition of our forces, "- Poroshenko reminded.

Earlier it was reported that the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko with the US delegation led by Senator John McCain arrived at the command post in the area of Shirokino at the demarcation line to congratulate the troops on the New Year.
