Pope Francis is deeply concerned about the events in Syria and calls on the parties of the conflict to peace. He said this on April 15, Vatican News reported.
"I am deeply concerned about the current situation in the world, in which, despite the available tools, it is still difficult to come to common actions in favor of peace in Syria and other regions," he said.
The Pope urged world leaders to take constructive action.
"While I continue to pray for peace and I invite all people to voluntarily do the same, I again appeal to all those who bear political responsibility to ensure justice and peace," he said.
