U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo believes that U.S. policy on Ukraine is successful, but there are still some issues that need to be addressed. Pompeo said this during a press conference on November 26, The Voice of America reports.
"Our policy on Ukraine has been clear and we have successfully implemented it," the U.S. Secretary of State said.
He added that there are many challenges in this area: the presence of Russians in Donbas, the problems of corruption in Ukraine, which the new Ukrainian president is working on.
Pompeo added that the State Department is also concerned with these issues and will continue doing so.
Speaking on Trump's impeachment inquiry, Pompeo hopes that all the witnesses will be accurate and truthful in their words when they testify at the Congress.
As we reported earlier, the lawyer of U.S. President Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani said he had compromising materials regarding the family of Joe Biden, who is one of the possible presidential candidates in the upcoming elections.
Giuliani emphasized that if he "disappears", then these documents will be "immediately published".
