Polish President Andrzej Duda will pay an official visit to Ukraine on October 12. On October 13, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and his Polish counterpart will take part in a business forum dedicated to the development of the port infrastructure of Odesa. This was stated by Deputy Head of the President's Office Igor Zhovkva, according to the website of the president.
"We all know, the visit of the President of Poland Duda to Ukraine is scheduled for Monday - Tuesday. The President will visit not only Kyiv but together with President Zelensky will visit Odesa, where a separate business event will be held," Zhovkva said.
The Deputy Head of the President's Office noted that a number of bilateral agreements on the development of maritime infrastructure will be signed during the visit of the President of Poland to Ukraine.
"We continue the economic themes of the dialogue with Poland. We are talking not only about politics, not only about the historical past, which will also be discussed but also about our economic ties," stressed Zhovkva.
He noted that, despite the coronavirus pandemic, Poland remains one of Ukraine's largest trading partners in Europe.
Igor Zhovkva recalled that the visit of the President of Poland to Ukraine was scheduled for April, but was postponed due to the pandemic. The last time the President of Poland visited Ukraine was in 2017.
