Earlier, the official claimed he was considering the option of his withdrawal from this office.
"The Minister previously claimed that after presidential elections, it's a good time to change the leader of Polish diplomacy, and expressed confidence that his successor would carry on with the current course, being instrumental in strengthening Poland's position on the international arena", the Ministry says.
Another government member, Healthcare Minister Lukasz Szumowski resigned two days ago.
Last month, Andrzej Duda claimed an extremely narrow victory in the presidential election in Poland, beating his rival by less than one percent of votes. 50.4 percent of voters supported the incumbent president, while 49.6 upheld Rafał Trzaskowski, the candidate from Platforma Obywatelska party.
The voters' turnout made 68.9 percent, which makes an absolute record in the history of independent Poland.
"You saw this amazing turnout, that's almost 70 percent. The victory in elections under such a turnout is unbelievable news. I'm very touched. Thanks to all my compatriots from the bottom of my heart", Duda said.
