Poland's Foreign Ministry has declared the elections in Crimea, organized by the Russian occupation authorities, illegal. This was reported by the ministry's press service.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland does not recognize the results of the illegal 'local elections', organized by the authorities of the Russian Federation in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea in Ukraine on 13 September 2020. The election of the governor of Sevastopol was illegal, as well as voting for representatives to the so-called State Council of the 'Crimean Republic', the so-called Legislative Assembly of the city of Symferopol, and the so-called Rural Council of the Razdolno region," the statement said.
It is noted that Poland continues to support the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
As we reported earlier, according to the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, there have been no relations between Ukraine and Russia since the annexation of Crimea and the beginning of the conflict in Donbas.
