Poland to participate in Nord Stream 2 certification

Polish oil and gas PGNiG Company will participate in the certification of the Russian Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline as the company reported.

“The German Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur, BNetzA) has granted Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA and its German subsidiary - PGNiG Supply & Trading GmbH participation in the certification proceedings for Nord Stream 2,” the message says.

In his turn, Chairman of the Board of PGNiG Pavel Majewski stated that the participation of Poland in the certification of the gas pipeline will allow to effectively defend the interests of the Polish side.

As it was reported earlier, the construction of the Russian Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline was completely finished as of the morning of September 10.

Besides, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky created a workgroup to develop solutions to threats to Ukraine's energy security due to the construction of major gas pipelines bypassing this country.
