Poland has imposed a state of emergency on the border with Belarus due to the influx of illegal migrants. This was reported by the press service of the President of Poland on Twitter.

"It has been decided to introduce a state of emergency in the area specified in the order," the statement said.

It is noted that the state of emergency will be in Podlaskie Voivodeship, bordering Belarus and Lithuania, and in Lublin Voivodeship (eastern Poland).

Earlier it was reported that Poland has begun construction of a wall on the border with Belarus. This way, Polish authorities want to reduce the number of illegal migrants who enter Poland through Belarus.
