The State Architectural and Construction Inspectorate can be liquidated in the form in which it is now.  Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk stated this (following a meeting on the development of the construction industry) in his Telegram.

“There will be no "gimmick" in particular at the State Architectural and Construction Inspectorate.  This is my principled position.  If necessary, then we liquidate State Architectural and Construction Inspectorate in the form in which it is now.  Ukraine needs a modern competitive construction industry as one of the drivers of the economy.  2020 is the year of the Great Construction program initiated by the government,” - he wrote.

Honcharuk said that last year the contribution to the GDP from the construction industry amounted to 2.5%.

The prime minister assured that the government will do everything to stimulate the industry: "deregulation, openness and fullness of cadastres, state programs to increase demand for housing (for veterans, malware, youth, orphans), affordable mortgage - 11-12%, which we already expect this year".

As we reported, Security Service of Ukraine opened criminal proceedings on the fact of wiretapping to Oleksiy Honcharuk during a meeting with representatives of the National Bank of Ukraine
