Plane of Belarus’ President Lukashenko flew to Turkey

A plane owned by the family of Belarus’ President Alexander Lukashenko left Minsk and headed to Turkey, as MBK media reported.

The issue is about Bombardier Challenger 850 liner. The route of the plane was also spotted by PlaneFinder that states that the EW-301PJ flight departed at the end of August 9. It headed to Bodrum, southwest Turkey.

It is not reported whether Lukashenko or members of his family were on the board of the plane.

On August 9, the clashes of the protesters with the law enforcers started in Minsk. The law enforcers used stun grenades and water cannons against the protesters.

The presidential elections took place in Belarus the same day. According to the results of the national exit poll, current president Alexander Lukashenko gains 79.7%.  Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya is supported by 6.8% of people.

Meanwhile, foreign polling stations reported that Svetlana Tsikhanouskaya won.
