Ex-official of the Pentagon and Director of the American Biden Center Michael Carpenter urges the law enforcement bodies of the U.S. and Special Councel Robert Mueller to investigate the activity of ex-Mayor of New York and current lawyer of U.S. President Donald Trump Rudolph Giuliani as Voice of America reported.
"It’s time to shine some more light on Rudy Giuliani’s mobbed-up Ukrainian friends & their ties to the kleptocratic regime of former President Viktor Yanukovych (Manafort’s old boss). Giuliani seems to be involved in a number of schemes in Ukraine," Carpenter claimed.
He told about the meeting of Giuliani with Kharkiv Mayor Kernes and his participation in the presentation of the book of Ukraine's Interior Minister Arsen Avakov about Lenin. During the visit, a company, which is connected with former New York Mayor, has signed the contract with Kharkiv Mayor Office.
Moreover, Giuliani arrived in Kharkiv in 2017 at the private plane of Olexander Rovt, the Ukrainian billionaire whose activity, according to the messages, drew the attention of the U.S. Special Councel who investigates Trump's ties with Russia.
Carpenter cites the articles on Medium.com and USnews which disclose that Spurce Capital, the company founded by Rovt, gave a loan in the sum of $3,5 million to Paul Manafort when he left the election campaign of Trump.
"Back to Giuliani. Rudy has ties to Pavel “the Mercenary” Fuchs, a Ukrainian oligarch with strong ties to Kernes (his hometown is also Kharkiv), but also to such Russian “luminaries” as former Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov and oligarch Vladimir Potanin," Carpenter wrote.
He noted that "According to AlJazeera, Fuchs was involved in a scheme to buy stolen assets from the Yanukovych regime, the same kleptocratic regime Paul Manafort worked for."
Earlier we reported that Anatoliy Chepiga (Ruslan Boshirov), one of the suspects of poisoning Sergei and Yulia Skripal lead the operation for transportation of the former president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych to Russia in 2014.
