As a result of the air strike, about 40 people were killed, four field commanders, including "Amir Deir-ez-Zor" Abu Muhammad Ash-Shimali and "Minister of War" Gulmurod Halimov.

Earlier a phone negotiation between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson took place. The statement says the US initiated the talks.
