Pechersk court allowed conviction in absentia of two deputies of Shoigu

Pechersk District Court of Kyiv allowed conviction in absentia of Russian Defense Minister Deputies Dmitry Bulgakov and Nikolai Pankov.It is reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine.

"Pre-trial investigation found that Bulgakov and Pankov in February-March 2014, acting on preliminary arrangement by group of persons with other representatives of the authorities of the Russian Federation, made a deliberate action to change the boundaries of the territory of Ukraine, incited Ukrainian troops to commit treason and helped waging an aggressive war against Ukraine ", - said in a statement.

The suspects were declared wanted by the state, the court gave permission for their arrest and transfer to the court for review of the application on using preventive measures in the form of detention.

After the necessary investigative and other procedural actions the indictments against these persons will be submitted to the court for special proceedings (absentia conviction).

They are accused of crimes specified p. 3, art. 110 ("Encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine"), p. 4, art. 27 ("Treason") and p. 2 art. 437 ("Planning, preparation, initiation and waging aggressive war") of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Earlier Pechersk court allowed the detention of Sergei Shoigu, Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation.
