Compared to last weekend, passenger traffic on the border between Ukraine and Belarus has fallen by an average of 15%. This was reported by the press service of the State Border Guard Service.

"As of today, there are seven checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border. During this period, the number of travelers wishing to enter the territory of neighboring Belarus has decreased. Compared to last weekend, passenger traffic has decreased by an average of 15%," the statement said.

As we reported earlier, on November 1, Belarus banned foreigners and stateless persons from entering its territory to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

"From November 1, the Republic of Belarus temporarily suspends border crossing for entry for foreign citizens and stateless persons at road checkpoints, simplified checkpoints, checkpoints at railway stations, checkpoints in river ports across the state border of the Republic of Belarus in order to prevent the spread of the infection caused by Covid-19", reads the message.
