Andriy Parubiy, the Head of the Ukrainian Parliament congratulated Volodymyr Zelensky on his victory in the presidential election. He said this at the beginning of the Parliament's coordination board on April 22.
'The exit polls data shows (and, the results will not be significantly different from these) that the newly elected president of Ukraine will be Volodymyr Zelensky. I respect the will of citizens, and I would like to congratulate Volodymyr Oleksandrovych on the election for the president's office; to wish him luck and fortitude on the way that the Ukrainian state is walking - the way defined by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in terms of development of the Ukrainian state', Parubiy said.
The Central Election Committee counted almost 96 percent of the votes after the second round of the presidential election in Ukraine; Volodymyr Zelensky won, getting 73.17 percent of voters, while the incumbent President Petro Poroshenko claimed 24.50.
