Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Development has not supported the revised program of government's action that was presented by Prime Minister Denys Shmygal and recommended that MPs decide on the program by voting, UNN reports.
It is reported that five members of the committee voted in favor of the program, four - against and four abstained from voting, which was not enough for Verkhovna Rada to recommend the adoption of a revised program.
It should be noted that the new program was expanded to 85 pages (the first version had 10). The document provides for further European integration, policy on the occupied territories, creating conditions for business development.
Besides that, annual indexation of pensions, simplification of unemployment benefits, economic support in the context of a coronavirus pandemic (and more) are also envisaged.
As we reported earlier, Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to extend adaptive lockdown until July 31.
“Given the increase in the number of coronavirus-infected patients, we will prolong the adaptive quarantine until July 31 this year. Today, we also will consider the updated approach to adaptive quarantine proposed by the Ministry of Health, which provides for the possibility of lockdown strengthening in certain regions if the situation requires such actions," Shmygal stated.
