The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to consider the petition of Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko on the lifting of the immunity from MP Stanislav Berezkin. Andriy Parubiy, speaker of the parliament, made such statement as 112 Ukraine reported.

“We have the petition from the prosecutor general on lifting the immunity from the MP. I also want to remind that if the regulation committee makes its decision, I will be forced to urgently put the issue for the consideration... Consequently, we will have five days after the decision of the regulation committee to consider the issue at the plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada,” Parubiy said.

On November 7, Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko officially asked the Ukrainian Parliament for authorization to bring to justice, detain, and arrest a member of Parliament Stanislav Berezkin

Solomiansky Court of Kyiv arrested Maksym Berezkin, son of MP Stanyslav Berezkin. He is suspected of the embezzlement of $20 million of Ukraine's state-run Oschadbank funds.

On October 23, under the procedural control of Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) prosecutors, National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) detectives detained ten people who were served with charge papers concerning embezzling $20 million of Oshchadbank.
