Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada supported bill No. 2148, which provides for the introduction of fines for non-personal voting by members of the Ukrainian Parliament.

The bill stipulates for introducing the article to the Criminal Code to fine $2000 - $3400 for button punching in the Verkhovna Rada.

Such a procedure is provided: the apparatus of the Verkhovna Rada should provide the video recording in the parliament to establish the fact of non-personal voting. The chairman at the plenary session should establish the presence of the MP in the session hall and in case of the absence of the lawmaker reports to the Verkhovna Rada about the fact of the non-personal voting. The card is confiscated and the appeal is submitted to the State Investigation Bureau.

Meanwhile, the parliament rejected another draft law No. 1127 on the criminal liability for the non-personal voting in the parliament, which provided up to two years in jail for the repeated non-personal voting.

Earlier the parliament sent President Zelensky's draft bill on punishment for non-personal voting and unjustified absence to the Constitutional Court of Ukraine.
