The Ukrainian Parliament restored the authority of the National Agency for Prevention of Corruption (NAPC), which concerns the monitoring of declarations. 300 MPs voted for the bill, with 226 necessary to pass.
The Agency's authorities have been restored, including these regarding judges and judges of the Constitutional Court.
The document reiterates that NAPC runs checks of all e-declarations of incomes; however, the mechanism of filing appeals is introduced: if the judge feels pressure from the NAPC, he/she could do so.
The Agency now has 24/7 access to the Unified State Register of declarations of government officials.
On December 4, the Ukrainian Parliament restored criminal responsibility for doubtful declaring.
