Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister for Reintegration of the Temporary Occupied Territories

The Ukrainian Parliament fired Oleksiy Reznikov from the office of Vice Prime Minister - Minister for Temporarily Occupied Territories. 329 MPs voted for the decision, with 226 necessary to pass.

The official will most likely be appointed the Minister of Defense of Ukraine. MP Iryna Vereshchuk, in turn, is going to take Reznikov's previous office.

Oleksiy Reznikov began his political career in 2008. First, he served as the lawmaker of Kyiv council of the sixth and seventh convocations. In 2019, he was appointed Ukraine's representative in the workgroup for policial issues. In May 2020, he became the first deputy of the head of the Ukrainian delegation in the Trilateral Contact Group.

Earlier, the party faction of Servant of the People supported the candidacy of Oleksiy Reznikov for the post of Defense Minister of Ukraine. Besides, the party endorsed Iryna Vereshchuk as the Vice Prime Minister - Minister for re-integration of temporarily occupied territories.
