Parliament dismisses Sobolev from office of head of anti-corruption committee

Yehor Sobolev, the head of Parliament’s anti-corruption committee has been relieved of his office on Thursday, as his fellow MPs voted for respective decision.

256 MPs supported the offer to dismiss Sobolev – the decision made by the anti-corruption committee on Wednesday. According to Iryna Lutsenko, President’s Envoy in the Parliament, the reason they decided to dismiss Sobolev was that during his leadership, the agency failed to launch the system of NABU auditors.
