The National Agency for Prevention of Corruption of Ukraine (NAPC) has been checking the e-declarations of President Volodymyr Zelensky and Head of Security Service Ivan Bakanov. This is done in the view of the recent investigation known as Pandora Papers.

"Replying to my request, the NAPC claimed that it already checked Zelensky's declaration, and now it looks into Bakanov's", MP Oleksiy Honcharenko posted on Telegram.

He added that the information about the investigation conducted by Slidstvo.Info bureau was taken into account.

Earlier, journalists have exposed over 330 offshore politicians around the world as part of Pandora's Dossier investigation. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is also mentioned in the investigation.

Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, who was elected in 2019 on a pledge to clean up his country’s notoriously corrupt and oligarch-influenced economy, is also named in the leak. During the campaign, Zelenskiy transferred his 25% stake in an offshore company to a close friend who now works as the president’s top adviser, the files suggest. Zelenskiy declined to comment and it is unclear if he remains a beneficiary.

Ukraine took first place among the countries whose politicians were included in Pandora's Dossier.
